SightBit is an AI lifeguard that saves lives by instantly alerting to swimmers in distress.
The system is the first to harness computer vision to detect drowning threats in open water.
Adam Bismut, an Israeli entrepreneur and founder of SightBit, was tragically killed during a battle in the Gaza Strip. Bismut, a 35-year-old advanced master sergeant in the reserves, lost his life alongside 20 other Israeli soldiers in the deadliest IDF incident during the Israel-Hamas war.
Four years ago, Bismut established SightBit, to develop an innovative AI system designed to detect individuals drowning at sea and alert rescuers in real-time. The inspiration for the startup came from a heartbreaking incident Bismut witnessed, where a drowning victim could not be saved. His work has since contributed to saving countless lives.
